History of the Estate

Viksbergs Säteri is located on the outskirts of Stockholm, in Viksberg. The estate was built in 1681, but the property is older than that. It is mentioned that Queen Kristina often stayed overnight in the main building. In the late 17th century the estate was better known for it’s health well that was discovered in the 1680s by the scientist and Karl XI's personal doctor, Urban Hjärne. Viksberg became a popular spa where one could come to drink from the well and bathe in one of the springs. The Birgersson family purchased the estate in 2004 and the focus of the estate has since become breeding and jumping horses.
